Scripture: "Only fear the Lord, and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you." I Samuel 12:24
Reflection: I find comfort in reading the scripture of Samuel. I have lived a long and good life. Without our trust in God, we have nothing. But with our trust in God, we have nothing to fear.
Prayer: God, thank You for Your many blessings each and every day. Amen.

Lenten Reflections from members of MUMC in days gone by...

Scripture: "Know therefore that the Lord you God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations." Deut 7:9

Lenten Reflections from members of MUMC in days gone by...
By Mary Hossack
Scripture: "Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.'"
Reflection: Those who believe in Jesus and turn to Him for all their needs, He will sustain them. We need bread to satisfy our physical hunger but we can satisfy our spiritual hunger and sustain our spiritual life be believing in Jesus. No wonder He called Himself the 'Bread of Life.' We have the choice but we must come to Him, have belief in Him, and the faith that He is our Bread and Water.
Prayer: Help us to know that You are always there for us and will provide for us always. Amen.
